Spring Dance Recital !

The Mary Drew School of Dance in cooperation with the Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting the "Spring" Recital on Saturday,   May 19th at 1pm in the Veazie Community School. Come enjoy the dance styles of all of the School's levels from Preschool to High School ages.

Orono Community Theater performs "Over the Tavern"

Don't miss this wonderful performance by our own local actors in "Over the Tavern" by Tom Dudzick April 26, 27, 28 at 7pm and April 29 at 3pm in the Keith Anderson Community House. Admission is $10 / adults and $8 / students and senior citizens.  Come out and support the local arts !

Register now for Rec Baseball !

The Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting registrations for T-Ball (4-5 yr old)  and Triple A Baseball (6-8 yr old) . Programs start the week of April 30th and ends June 14th

Easter Egg Hunt- Saturday April 7th !

Come out and join our special guests, the Easter Bunny and Monty Moose from the University Credit Union as we look for eggs, get our face painted and have a ballon animal made by Flip the Clown at the Annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday, April 7th 10am at the Asa Adams School in Orono. 

This event is open to all 2 yrold - 4th grade "Eggsperts" and will be held rain, snow or shine !  Children will also be eligible for prizes such as Easter Baskets, large size coloring books and two brand...

Chef On Demand Announces Classes

Orono Parks and Recreation Department in collaboration with Chef Cliff Richards will be offering three exciting cooking classes. Chef Richards is owner/operator of "Chef On Demand" and will be offering a "Knife Technique and Chicken for Protein" class March 8th from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Tredwell Building. This class will discuss knives, how to choose the best knife for the task at hand. Chef Richards will also break down an entire chicken and discuss great ideas for each part. Students go...

Family Valentine Dance, Friday February 10th from 6:30-8:30pm

This Valentine Dance is open to all families and children in kindergarten through 5th grade but is sold out quickly so don't delay sign up today !

The Dance from 6:30-8:30 pm Friday February 10th at the KACH is designed for children in kindergarten through 5th grade and their families. The evening includes music by DJ Services of "Fast Dogs", refreshments, snacks, and sweet treats along with prizes. This memorable evening is only $15 per resident family and $25 non-resdient family.

Mantis Yoga for Kids

Come join this fun animal insect inspired kids yoga class with certified Namaste Yoga Instructor Holly Twining.
